Are there any other fees or extra costs involved when I sign up for Convergia Services?

      Convergia doesn’t charge you a monthly fee. However, for our residential customer we have a $5 minimum usage requirement. If your usage is more than $5 there will be no additional charges on your bill. Convergia may also charge a $1.49 paper invoice fee if you choose to receive your invoice by regular mail. Convergia preferred method of billing is via email.

Can my long distance company be changed without my permission?

      No. Switching your long distance company without your approval is called "slamming," and it's illegal. Slamming violates a consumer's right to choose a long distance provider.Convergia does not condone this practice and asks customers who feel they may have been slammed by another provider to contact Convergia Customer Care immediately.

How long it will take me to connect to Convergia’s service?

      From the moment you sign up for a Convergia account it will take approximately 5 to 7 business days to process the activation.

How will I know if I am active with Convergia?

      At any time during the 5 to 7 business day period customers may call 1.700.555.4141 toll-free from your home phone to identify your long distance carrier. Convergia’s activation department also sends out welcome automated calls to all new customers, and a representative of the department may give you a welcome call upon service activation.

Do I have to dial extra numbers to use your service?

      No, not at all. Convergia’s a direct dial long distance company. Direct dial means there are no additional numbers to call.

I use a 10-10-XXX service; can I still use this on occasion if I sign up with you?

      Absolutely. This is a dial around access which functions outside of the client's regular long distance service. All customers can continue to use a dial-around 10-10 service, if they so choose.

What do I do if have a problem making calls?

      The reality of the communications business is that once in awhile you may experience a problem to certain countries around the world. Normally the problem exists within the other country because of environmental reasons, power shortages, or upgrades in the system. Clients who are having trouble should follow these procedures:
1.Wait and try again in fifteen or twenty minutes, the problem may be self-corrected.
2.If the problem persists Contact Convergia at 1 866 669 4357. One of Convergia’s customer care agents will log a trouble ticket and give you a reference number. Please keep the reference number as you will be contacted by Convergia customer care within 24 hours with a resolution.

How do I notify Convergia that I am moving?

How do I change or add to my Convergia plans and services?

      It's easy to change or add to your Convergia plans and services by simply calling our Customer Service Center at 18666694357 or contact Customer Service by e-mail and list the changes you would like to have done to your account. How do I request information on special offers and new product updates?

      You may send your request by e-mail to our Customer Service Center or call us directly at 18666694357. We suggest you visit our web site regularly for up-to-date product information, current promotions and special offers.

My phone number changed; do I need to register for an online account again?

      When your phone number changes, you do not need to register again if you’re an existing Convergia customer. Simply contact our Customer Service Center at 18666694357 by phone or by e-mail and provide us with your account number and any changes that have taken place with your phone line. Your disconnected line will be automatically removed from your account and your account will updated with the new phone number.

How do I cancel a service?

      To disconnect your long distance service, please contact your Carrier of Choice to have your service switched. You can cancel our services at any time, unconditionally. Once you have become a Convergia customer, we are confident that you will not need to cancel any of your services as most of our customers have been with us for many years and remain loyal customers today. I have some friends that would like to join in. What should I do?

How do I update my payment method?

      You can change or update your checking account or credit card payment information at any time. What are the advantages of Pre-Authorized Bill Payment?

      Automatic Bill Payment is the most convenient way to pay your Convergia account Bill. Your amount due will automatically be charged each month by a credit card of your choice, eliminating a paper trail of bills and checks. You will continue to receive an account statement to view your monthly spending, but the worry of paying your bill on time will be eliminated with Automatic Bill Payments.

What are my payment choices with Automatic Bill Payment (PAP)?

      You can choose to pay your bill with an automatic monthly preauthorized credit card charge. We accept MasterCard and Visa, and Canadian American express credit cards. You can also provide us with the PAP banking information or send or fax us a void cheque. (fax number: 1-866-377-1590)

When will my credit card be charged if I choose Pre-Authorized Payment plan?

      If you select Automatic bill payment, your credit card or checking account will be charged on the payment due date of your Convergia bill.

Can I set up an online account?
